Doodling in the Diner

Well, there's nothing better than a post Mass, Sunday brunch in a local diner with the family; we're in NY with the inlaws. Throw in some blank placematts and a couple pens and you are golden! Can anyone translate the Latin? PS - this was Felicia's Little Diner near Wallkill, NY (I recommend the 3 egg special. And they butter the toast. Isn't it nuts when they don't butter the toast?) An old fella at the diner bar was amazed at the size of the family, and we had to tell him there were 5 siblings missing! Yes! Big families are back, and we're taking over the world!

Did you draw that on the placemat? That is awesome! Have you read Pope John Paul II's letter to artists?

Larry,
We have a winner! Nice work, and that was muy rapido! I got the comment as an e-mail. I love the Catholic Dads blog! And I think your taste in movies is exquisite!

Hello Dawn,
I LOVE JP II's Letter to Artists. (and your site is awesome by the way. I tok a quick peek and need to peruse it some more to see all of your stuff. Thanks for the link to my blog) Here's my favorite line from the Letter to Artists: "Humanity in every age, and even today, looks to works of art to shed light upon its path and its destiny." - JP II

Looks like you're doing just that!

Bill, thankyou for visiting my art blog. I have been a reader of your blog for a long time now and keeping up with the Mission Moment quotes. I thought your blog was interesting because you think a little like me in the way you refer to television, books, commercials from the past. I loved the blog with the old indian crying. I do remember that commercial. Your calgon comment was the clincher. I wonder if you could come up with some sort of insight with the old 'corinthian leather' commercial with Ricardo Montalban. Maybe you could compare it to Satan's lies? LOL! Ricardo admitted that they made up the name corinthian just because it sounded fancy, but it was really just plain old leather.

Do you remember this Bill? I bet you could squeeze a religious insight out of this baby.

Corinthian leather? That was sooooo smooth! "In the Cordoba. I have what I need...." Doesn't he need other people in that big fancy house? Will his Corinthian leather tuck him in at night? Make him breakfast when he's feeling low? Aye yay yay!

I love it, thanks.
